Founded by Jan Wendt in 2009, the Hamburg-based company NetRange MMH GmbH was a pioneer of Smart TV solutions. As its international network grew to over 4,000 partners in more than 100 countries, the company quickly gained the status of the leading content provider in its sector, with major customers including Grundig, Loewe and Vodafone. NetRange has also added car infotainment to its range of services. DMB is an investment holding owned by Jan Wendt.
The Oberhausen-based ACCESS Europe GmbH, reporting into Tokyo-headquartered company ACCESS CO. LTD, has been providing pioneering IT solutions for several stakeholders worldwide since the 1980s, specialising in mobile communications and network software technology. Today, its solutions have been shipped into more than 1.5 billion devices worldwide, including cars, TVs, smartphones, tablets, game consoles and more. With this acquisition, ACCESS Europe GmbH aims to become the market leader in the field of software-based infotainment solutions.
