MOINsure GmbH (“Hepster”), a leading and fast-growing InsurTech company based in Rostock, secured $10 mio (EUR 8mio) funding from several investors in a series A round on 18 December 2020. The funding round was led by Element Ventures (London) and Seventure Partners (Paris, Munich). Existing investors also participated in the series A round.

Founded in 2016, Hepster provides customers and business partners with highly innovative and needs-based insurance products via its specialized API-driven ecosystem. The insurtech sets its focus on all-digital value chain from purchase to claims settlement. Hepster’s portfolio includes insurances in the areas of (e-)mobility, electronics, equipment as well as travel and basic insurances. More than 200 individualized insurance products in its respective areas have been launched since early 2017, convincing more than 70,000 customers and 300 partners.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing restrictions within the German economy, Hepster has shown an extreme growth trajectory in 2020, especially with its (e-)mobility solutions. The company saw 700% revenue growth from 2018 to 2019, and 600% in 2020.

The Series A investment will be used to further develop Hepster’s digital ecosystem and prepare further market entries within Europe.
