Marc Anschlag studied law in Münster. He completed his doctorate in Cologne on the subject of "Developments in public liability insurance for hospital operators".  He also completed a master's degree in medical law at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf.

Before joining BDO Legal, he worked as a partner in the medical law and insurance departments of a medium-sized law firm in Cologne and Stuttgart.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, especially to Kenya, playing with his son and attending soccer matches at the stadium.
